Our Impact
In 2024, the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF) reached more people than ever before—fueling opportunity across the industry and empowering current and future workers with skills, resources, and education to launch successful careers.
ProStart®
ProStart is a nationwide, two-year high school program that reaches more than 214,000 students in over 2,100 high schools across every U.S. state, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia.
Scholarships
Each year, we award more than $1 million in scholarships to hundreds of individuals pursuing a post-secondary degree in the restaurant, foodservice, and hospitality industry. Applications for 2025-26 open January 15 to March 15, 2025.
National ProStart Invitational
May 2–4, 2025 in Baltimore, MD. The country’s premier secondary school competition focused on restaurant management and culinary arts. Read about the National and State Champions, watch the ceremonies, and learn more.
MFHA
An affiliate of NRAEF, the Multicultural Foodservice & Hospitality Alliance provides tailored solutions and guidance to help maximize human potential by building culturally intelligent businesses.
Military
Our programs support military personnel and those transitioning to civilian careers with training, apprenticeships, certification grants, and scholarships.
HOPES
Hospitality Opportunities For People (Re)Entering Society helps put justice-involved individuals on a path to employment and independence.
