(Chicago, Ill.) Ensuring that food safety education and training continues to be taken to the next level, the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF) has expanded its relationship with Allied Domecq Quick Service Restaurants (ADQSR), franchiser of Dunkin’ Donuts Incorporated, Baskin Robbins USA, Co. and Togo’s Eateries, Inc. quick-service chains, to bring the ServSafe® Manager Certification Training Online Course to ADQSR’s Online University. ServSafe is the industry’s premier food safety education and training program and also provides an ANSI-CFP accredited certification exam.

"We are thrilled to deliver our ServSafe Manager Certification Training Online Course to ADQSR and commend them for their initiative to provide food safety training to their destination managers through e-Learning," said Mary M. Adolf, president and chief operating officer of the NRAEF. "Risk management is one of the NRAEF’s three key strategies and one way we execute that strategy is to deliver online food safety education and training to foodservice establishments. This e-Learning partnership will continue to ensure that ADQSR’s destination managers are properly trained to understand and apply food safety fundamentals and best practices. We encourage others in the industry to follow ADQSR’s lead."

"Featuring the ServSafe course in the ADQSR Online University is essential in the training and development of our managers and we’re pleased the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation has provided us with its first rate food safety training materials," said Jon Luther, chief executive officer of ADQSR.

"The Online University enables ADQSR managers to access the training content from the workplace using personal computers with Internet connections and Web browser software, which will give them more opportunities to become trained through valuable programs like the ServSafe Manager Certification Training Online Course," said Kevin McNamara, vice president of training for ADQSR.

Providing the same best-in-class content as the conventional ServSafe course books, the NRAEF also now offers their ServSafe Manager Certification Training course online. The new online training can be found at http://www.nraef.org/e_learning/elearn_home.asp.

Jim Javenkoski, the NRAEF’s Manager of e-Services, adds: "Our e-Learning partnership with ADQSR promises to enhance the practical knowledge and workplace performance of managers employed at Baskin Robbins, Dunkin’ Donuts, and Togo’s which is a positive outcome for everyone, especially the customers who will continue to enjoy safe, high quality food service in those establishments."
