Student Scholarships

To apply online:

  1. Verify eligibility
  2. Prepare supporting materials and essays
  3. Complete application checklist
  4. Launch online application
  5. Complete and submit online application by 11:59 p.m. on the deadline date

The online application should take approximately 30 minutes to complete if your essay answers are already prepared.  The application does not need to be done in one sitting – you may exit and access the application as needed until it is complete.  However, once you hit “submit” your application cannot be retrieved or altered.

Scholarship Judging Process

All eligible, complete applications will be judged by a panel of independent educators, industry leaders, and culinary professionals.

The judges will score your application on the following criteria:

  • Quality and presentation of essay (quality of writing, spelling, punctuation, grammar, word count, etc)
  • Industry-related work experience
  • Strength of the letters of recommendation
  • Foodservice certificates, including ProStart and ManageFirst certificates

Award Notification

Scholarship recipients and non-recipients will be notified at the email address provided in the online application approximately 12 weeks after the deadline date. If you are awarded a scholarship, you will receive claiming instructions at that time.
